Abstract
1277141 Injection-blow moulding apparatus S FISCHER 9 July 1970 [21 July 1969] 33309/70 Heading B5A In an injection-blow moulding apparatus, the injection mould core is axially movable through a stripper to eject the preform into a trough from which it is pushed by a plunger into a shoot which guides it on to a blowing mandrel. As shown, the injection mould core 13 is axially movable by cylinder 17 relative to stripper 14, the assembly 13, 14, 17 being initially movable on bars (15, 16, Fig. 2, not shown) relative to the injection machine 11. When the assembly has been withdrawn so that core 13 is removed from mould 12, the core 13 is further withdrawn through stripper 14, ejecting the preform 10 into a trough 18 attached to stripper 14. Upon subsequent forward movement of the assembly, plunger 19 fixed to machine 11 pushes the preform 10 with its opening foremost into shoot 20, which guides it on to a blowing mandrel 21 on a rotary table, the table being indexed sequentially to blowing station containing blow mould 22.
