1277086 Pesticides containing hexamethylene-bis (alkyldimethyl ammonium) bromide E R SQUIBB & SONS Inc 3 June 1969 [3 June 1968] 25452/69 Heading A5E [Also in Division C2] Foliage fungicidal and aquatic herbicidal compositions comprise as active ingredient, a hexamethylene-bis-(alkyl dimethylammonium) bromide of the general formula: wherein R is an alkyl radical of 8 to 12 carbon atoms, e.g. n-octyl, n-nonyl, n-decyl, n-undecyl, and n-dodecyl. The compounds may be formulated with solid or liquid carriers, e.g. for dust or spray application, and may be mixed with conventional conditioning agents, surface active agents, the active ingredients usually comprising from 1-95% of the solid compositions and from 0.5-50% by wt. of liquid formulations.
