Abstract

1276663 Plant growth stimulants comprising thiazole derivatives IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 4 Dec 1969 [24 Dec 1968] 61377/68 Heading C1B [Also in Division C2] A process of stimulating the growth of dicotyledonous plants, comprises applying to the plants or to seeds thereof, a thiazole of formula wherein R represents C 1 -C 5 alkyl, aralkyl or an aryl group of up to 10 carbon atoms, R 1 represents Br, Cl, I or H and R 2 represents H or C 1 -C 5 alkyl or R 1 and R 2 , together with the side of the thiazole ring to which they are attached, form a benzene ring, in an amount sufficient to stimulate the growth of, but insufficient to injure, the plants.
