Abstract

1275729 Tape measures FISCO PRODUCTS Ltd 3 Dec 1969 [6 Dec 1968] 57987/68 Heading G1M A spring return tape 2 may be held extended by moving a button 6 and a spigot 7 down a slot 10 so that a wedge 8 on the spigot forces the tape against an abutment 9. The force of the return spring holds the brake on but when the tape is further extended the braking or wedging action will cease because the spigot and wedge will be carried up the slot 10.
