1275393 Enzyme- and perborate-containing detergent granules KNAPSACK AG 4 Feb 1970 [11 Feb 1969 2 Jan 1970] 5392/70 Heading C5D An enzyme- and perborate-containing detergent composition consisting of homogeneous granules consists of inorganic and/or organic builder salts, sodium perborate, monohydrate or tetrahydrate, one or more enzymes, preferably a binder and optionally one or more organic detergents, perfumes, optical brighteners, disinfectants and peroxide stabilizers or activators. The granules are prepared by air-fluidizing the solid builder salts and sodium perborate and spraying with water or an aqueous solution or suspension of one or more binders, enzymes and, if required, organic detergents and detergent auxiliaries. Alternatively, the enzymes may be incorporated in the air-fluidized powder prior to spraying with the liquid. The binders may be cellulose ether, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, dextrin, alginates, agar agar, gum arabic, tragacanth, polyvinyl alcohol, bassorin or guar gum. The organic detergents may be anionic, cationic, non- ionic or ampholytic detergents. The builder salts are the alkali metal or ammonium salts of the acids sulphuric, silicic, disilicic, carbonic, polyphosphoric, nitriloacetic, ethylene diaminotetra acetic, polyvinyl-phosphonic, aminopolycarboxylic, hydroxyalkylaminopolycarboxylic, phytic, alkylene phospnonic, hydroxyalkylene phosphonic and aminoalkylene phosphonic acids and of various polymers containing carboxylic acid groups.
