Abstract

1,274,311. Mounting arrangement. SMITHS INDUSTRIES Ltd. 13 April, 1970 [13 Jan., 1969], No. 1912/69. Heading H1R. A mounting arrangement consists of an adapter unit 4, which is adapted to be slid along a guideway 18 on a tray 2, and which itself has a smaller guideway 5 along which the base of a case 1, containing electrical equipment, can be slid. The adapter unit 4 is held in place by locking nuts 23 engaging lugs 22 on the adapter unit, and the case 1 is secured on to the adapter by means of a yoke member 10. Electrical connections are made between the case and the adapter unit, and the adapter unit and the tray by means of "plug-in" arrangements, which engage when the case and adapter unit are held in place. This mounting arrangement can be used to mount a standard size Air Transport Radio case into a tray made for receiving a larger size Air Transport Radio case.
