1,272,483. Roof windows. R. L. KALLIN. 9 July, 1969, No. 34678/69. Headings E1J and E2M. A roof structure comprises a pyramidal frame 2 covered by a roof 3 at its top and by trapesium shaped sections 4 at its lower sides, a section 4 being movable with its top guided on means 5 which extend up the centre of a side of the frame, and its bottom guided on means 6 which extend outwardly from the base of the frame at an angle to means 5. The top and bottom of the section carry wheels which run along guide means 5, 6. A chain drive (12, Fig. 2, not shown) is fixed to the top of the window and extends around wheels (13, 14) at the top and bottom of means 5, lower wheel (14) being connected to a worm gear motor (15). Rubber seal (28, Fig. 7, not shown) or metal sealing lips (44, 45, Fig. 11, not shown) are provided. In Fig. 5 (not shown) drive is effected by a worm 17 and nut 18.
