Sewing-machines ; spools, bobbins, and the like, winding.-A bobbin-winding attachment for sewing-machines consists of a sheet-metal base-plate 1 with integral lugs 2, 3, 3', 4 at one end for supporting the winding-mechanism and with an adjustable angle plate 17 carrying a threadguide 18 and an ordinary tension device at the other end, the distance, between the ends being such that the thread can distribute itself uniformly over the bobbin. The lugs 3, 3<1> are struck up at right-angles to the base-plate and pivotally support a bracket 5 which carries the winding-mechanism, and is connected to the struck-up lug 2 by toggle-links 10, 11. A spring- pressed plunger 15 mounted in a socket on the bracket bears on the lug 4 and moves the bracket with its pulley 7 away from the driving-belt of the sewing-machine when the toggle is broken by the trip-finger 12. The plate 17 is adjustable in a direction parallel to the axis of the winding- mechanism, and is provided with a slot to receive a locking-screw and with a stamped-up projection engaging a slot on the base-plate.
