Abstract
1,269,945. Glucosides of phloroglucionol derivatives. ORSYMONDE. 21 July, 1969 [14 Aug., 1968], No. 38942/68. Heading C2C. Novel compounds of Formula I (in which R is C 1-4 alkyl) are prepared by reacting a compound of Formula II with acetobromoglucose in the presence of an alkali, and then saponifying the resulting acetyl derivative to obtain the monoglucoside. Pharmaceutical compositions having antispasmodic activity comprise a compound of Formula I together with a pharmaceutical carrier.
