The electrically heated roller of the parent Specification is modified by providing longitudinal lands 138 in the outer surface of the fluidcontaining annular space 114, these lands being continuous (Figs. 1 and 2) or discontinuous and formed in a series of juxtaposed rings (Figs. 3 and 4). Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,215,270.
