Abstract

1,269,399. Automatic exchange systems. SIEMENS A.G. 17 Sept., 1969 [18 Sept., 1968], No. 45714/69. Heading H4K. A PBX includes at least one group of subscribers who can answer each other's calls using their individual subsets. When one of the subscribers becomes aware (by means not specified) that another one is being called, he lifts his own handset and dials a special code into the register to which he is automatically connected. The register seizes a common control which tests the priority of the subscriber and, if this is in order, applies an identification potential via a diode decoupling network to all the inlets (cwires) of the group on the switching network. Consequently in the feedbridge which has been seized for the incoming call, a relay that has been prepared by the ringing circuit comes-up so as to identify the feedbridge to the control. The latter then releases the original connections, viz. the incoming and the register connections, and completes a connection between the justidentified feedbridge and the subscriber who volunteered to answer the call. The identification potential is provided by a capacitor discharge.
