A fence dropper comprises a resilieratlyflexible galvanized or plastics coated rod 18 having a plurality of binding wires 22 secured thereto by welding or brazing, the binding wires being twisted round fencing wires to hold them spaced apart The rod may have locating formations for the spaced binding wires which may also be twisted around the rod.
