Abstract
1,266,165. Evaporators, film type. LUWA A.G. 25 Aug., 1969 [11 Sept., 1968], No. 42305/69. Heading BIB. A film evaporator wherein the liquid, supplied through inlet 4, flows down the inner wall of a tubular housing 2 is provided with a rotor comprising a centrally-arranged tubular body 18; and wiper blades 20 are attached about the periphery and along the length of the body 18 by means of short connection tongues 30, 30', 32, 32' which are welded to body 18 external of the planes containing the side surfaces 24 of the blades, the outer edge of each blade having relatively deep cutout portions 36 opposite of the connection tongues. The rotation of the rotor in bearings 8 and 10 causes the liquid to be distributed by bladeedges 24 upon the inner wall of housing 2 without the development of large stresses in the blades and the body 18.
