Abstract
1,265,797. Loom sleys. BRITISH NORTHROP Ltd. 28 July, 1969 [10 July, 1968], No. 32854/68. Heading D1E. A loom sley comprises a tube 30 on which is mounted a shuttle race 36 and a reed 60 secured in position and releasable from that position by a top baulk screwed to a tube 66 pivotal about its own axis. The tube 30 is attached to the swords 10, 12 by screws 32 and shuttle box bases 80, 82 are attached to the protruding ends of the tube by screws 88. The bottom baulk 48 of the reed is attached to the tube 30 by screws 50 and the grooves 56 accommodating the reed in the baulks are lined with plastics material. (For Figures see next page)
