Abstract

1,263,548. Joint-making packing. A. P. M. CORP. 6 June, 1969, No. 28658/69. Headings F2B and F2H. A combined nut and sealing boot (e.g. of silicone rubber) for mounting control devices in a panel 35 comprises a boot which is separable from the nut and provided with a hollow portion 14, 26 covering the upper surface 16 of the nut, a first peripheral portion 27 which grips an arcuate, serrated or polygonal surface of the nut, and a second peripheral portion 28 which engages in a rabbet formed in the nut and extends beyond the lower surface 17 of the nut so that when applied against the panel 35 it will form a seal therewith about the nut.
