Abstract

126,347. Dreyfus, C. Dec. 29, 1916. Holders. - Gas bags for hydrogen and other gases, especially for the manufacture of air-ships and balloons, are made of sheets of non-fibrous cellulose such as those prepared from xanthate or from cellulose solutions. These sheets may be used alone, in which case the container may be enclosed in an outer bag of cotton or other fabric; or the cellulose sheets may be applied or attached for instance by adhesives to supports of cotton, linen, silk, wool, paper, &c. in sheet, openwork, cord, or other form. The sheets may be varnished. According to the Provisional Specification the cellulose may be applied to its carrier in the form of a viscose dope.
