Abstract
1,261,478. Device for compacting loose materials or concrete. VOSTOCHNY NAUCHNO-ISSLEDOVATELSKY I PROEKTNY INSTITUT OGNEUPORNOI PROMYSHLENNOSTI. 28 Aug., 1970, No. 41550/70. Heading B1C. [Also in Divisions E1 and F4] A device for compacting loose materials or concrete comprises a table 2 having bars 3 secured thereto, a vibrator 1 mounted on the table, and a perforated plate 4 through which the bars extend movably connected to the table. In use, the plate is placed on the material to be compacted and then the vibrator is operated. Operation of the vibrator causes the bars 3 to penetrate through the plate into the material and compact it. When the bars are removed, plate 4 prevents the surface layers of the compacted material from being loosened.
