Abstract

1,260,537. Microbiocidal treatment of wood. K. SAITO. 29 April, 1969 [9 Sept., 1968], No. 21664/69. Heading ASE. A process for the microbiocidal treatment of waste chips or timber of rubber wood comprises applying an organo tin compound and a chlorophenol compound and/or pentachloronitrobenzene and then fumigating with sulphur dioxide. A second organo tin compound and a surface active agent are optional ingredients. Tin compounds specified are tributyl tin oxide, triphenyl tin acetate, triphenyl tin hydroxide and tripropyl tin acetate; the chlorophenol may be pentachlorophenol.
