1,260,222. Wigs. G. H. TAYLOR. April 1, 1969 [Oct. 9, 1968; Dec.23, 1968], No. 17055/69. Heading A4U. A method of embedding hair in plastics material comprises clamping strands of hair 28 between a plurality of dividers 27 so that one end of each strand of hair 28 protrudes beyond the same end of the dividers 27, clipping the protruding hair ends to a uniform length, immersing them in a pool 29 of liquid plastics material contained in a trough 21, curing the liquid plastics material to a flexible cohesive skin, removing the cured plastics material having the hair ends embedded therein from the trough 21 and removing the dividers from between the hair strands. The dividers 27 may be spaced from the upper surface of the pool of liquid plastics material by a distance which may be one-eighth of an inch so that there is an air space 31 between the dividers and said pool.
