Abstract
1,260,068. Ladle walls. FRIED. KRUPP HUTTENWERKE A.G. 29 Sept., 1970 [30 Sept., 1969], No. 46194/70. Heading F4B. A heavy duty slag ladle has a ladle wall 1 provided externally with a network of longitudinal and transverse ribs 2 connected with the said wall at intersections 7 but spaced apart from the said wall at the regions 3 between the intersections. The wall of the ladle is provided internally with recesses which are followed in the outward direction by at least one slit 6. The slit or slits may be filled with metal powder 5. The recesses may themselves be filled with a weld seam 4<SP>1</SP>.
