Abstract
1,258,922. Pesticides containing sulphurcontaining phosphorus compounds. MURPHY CHEMICAL CO. Ltd. 2 May, 1969 [27 May, 1968], No. 25279/68. Heading ASE. [Also in Division C2] Insect pests, particularly cabbage root fly and wireworm and their larvae are controlled by applying to the earth in which crops are grown or by applying to the seed compounds of the formula:- wherein R and R<SP>1</SP> are each an alkyl group of 1-4 carbon atoms, X and Y are O and S, at least one of X and Y being S and n is 0 or 1. The compounds may be used alone or in admixture with naphtha, fuller's earth, china clay, talc, or adsorbent calcium silicate.
