Abstract

1,255,999. Skin packages. MICRO & PRECISION MOULDINGS (CHELTENHAM) Ltd. 20 March, 1970 [25 March, 1969], No. 15446/69. Heading B8C. A skin package includes screws retained in spaced apertures in a length of flexible tape, the heads of the screws engaging the surface of the tape. The arrangement relatively locates the screws during formation of the package and allows a predetermined number of screws to be selected for the package by cutting a given length of tape from a longer length in which the screws have been inserted. The tape may be a single or double layer of clear polyethylenes, and the package may contain a mortice lock in addition to the screws. In manufacture, the screws may be inserted in preformed apertures in the tape, or the apertures may be formed by the insertion of the screws.
