1,253,334. Amphibious vehicles. H. W. GEHLEN. 11 May, 1970 [14 May, 1969], No. 22630/70. Heading B7A. An amphibious vehicle in which the vehicle body 1 is the main floating element also has rigid auxiliary floating elements 4, 5 which are piyotable laterally about pivot points 6, 7 at the upper lateral edges at opposite ends of the vehicle body. The ends of the auxiliary floating elements are attached to the pivot points by spacing members 8, 9 which ensure that when the auxiliary members are in their inoperative position they are spaced above the deck of the vehicle body.
