Abstract

1,253,017. Display stands. STREATER INDUSTRIES Inc. July 10, 1970 [July 18, 1969], No.33625/70. Headings A4B and A4U. A display stand has a pair of parallel, horizontally extending spaced apart base arms 8, 10, each having a horizontal flange 22, 22<SP>1</SP>, and a vertical flange 24, 24<SP>1</SP>, each of the vertical flanges having a horizontally extending slot 26, 26<SP>1</SP>, the slots both being at the same vertical position, a first bracket 30 having a generally semicircular portion and a vertical flange normal thereto, and the flange 38 having an upwardly directed hook, a second bracket member which is the mirror image of the first, the bracket hooks being inserted in the slots, the base arm horizontal flanges also each having a slot 28, 28<SP>1</SP>, a generally semi-cylindrical member 16 having a tab 56 or 58 extending from each end of the upper edge, the tabs being inserted in the holes in the horizontal slot. Hooks 64, 64<SP>1</SP> may be provided to support the lower edge of the member. The bracket flange is preferably wider than the vertically extending flange on the base arm, and has a cut-out portion having one side aligned with the inner edge of the base arm vertical flange to leave a strip of material which may be crimped.
