Abstract
1,252,748. Fluidic function generators. HONEYWELL Inc. Dec. 11, 1968 [Dec.14, 1967], No.58972/68. Heading G3H. A fluidic circuit providing an output from conducts 152, 153 which is a function of a differential input signal applied to passages 150, 151, has an input circuit 11 the outputs 21, 22 of which feed both a variable gain circuit 12, and a gain control circuit 13 provided with an output conduit 132 which feeds back a gain control pressure to nozzles 52, 56 of amplifiers 36, 37 in circuit 12. Valves V provide bias controls for proportional amplifiers 15, 36, 37, 143, 76 and bi-stable or proportional acting amplifier 77, so that the family of input/output curves illustrated in Fig. 2 (not shown) can be selectively re-positioned relative to the origin (O). The Specification describes in detail how the circuit operates under different conditions, and states that it can be used to control the fuel supply to a turbojet engine in accordance with the speed of the compressor or turbine.
