Abstract

1,252,385. Wet spinning filaments. GLANZSTOFF A.G. 24 March, 1970 [2 May, 1969], No. 14186/70. Heading B5B. [Also in Division D1] Filaments of polyterephthaloyloxalamidrazone may be produced by wet spinning a composition of 8 parts by weight of polyterephthaloyloxalamidrazone, 6 parts by weight of potassium hydroxide, 86 parts by weight of water and 0À45 part by weight of an ethoxylated coconut fatty amine, into a 20% by weight aqueous ammonium chloride solution at a temperature of 30‹ C. Polyfumaroyloxalamidrazone filaments may be obtained by wet spinning a solution of 8 parts by weight of polyfumaroyloxalamidrozone, 6 parts by weight of potassium hydroxide and 86 parts by weight of water in the same solution as above. The filaments can then be dipped into a solution of a metal compound to make the filaments flame resistant.
