Abstract
1,250,601. Antidepressant medicines. WELLCOME FOUNDATION Ltd. 15 Aug., 1968 [19 May, 1967], No. 23297/67. Heading A5B. [Also in Division C2] Pharmaceutical formulations for the treatment of a depressed state contain 3-methylamino 1,1-diphenylproplene or a salt thereof with a pharmaceutically acceptable acid and a pharmaceutical vehicle and may be administered orally, parenterally or rectally. A solution of the hydrochloride of the above compound in H 2 O to form an injection also contains chlorocresol or phenol as a bactericide. A syrup for oral administration contains the hydrochloride, sucrose, glycerine, orange oil, sodium benzoate, methyl-hydroxybenzoate, alcohol and water.
