1,249,297. Tool magazines. MOLINS MACHINE CO. Ltd., and R. T. FREEMAN. 14 Nov., 1968 [15 Nov., 1967], No. 14391/71. Divided out of 1,249,296. Heading B3B. The subject-matter of the Specification is similar to the Specification 1,249,296 but the claims are directed to a tool magazine for storing rotary cutting tools of different diameters which comprises a base 1 having a plurality of spaced holes 2, 3, 4 of the same diameter, and a toolholder 6, 23, 16, 31 releasably mounted in each hole, each tool-holder comprising a substantially cylindrical outer portion mounted in its respective hole, a bore coaxial with the outer portion, and resilient gripping means associated with the bore, the diameters of the outer portions being the same so that the position of the tool-holders in the holes in the base can be varied, and the diameters of the bores being different so that tools of different diameters can be inserted in the bores and gripped therein by the gripping means. The base 1 may include a row of holes of different diameter to holes 2, 3, 4 for receiving a different size tool holder.
