Abstract

1,249,230. Flash-cubes. GTE SYLVANIA Inc. Feb.4, 1969 [Feb.7, 1968], No.5999/69. Heading G2A. A flash-cube comprises a plurality of percussively ignitable flash-bulbs 12 of the type having a metal tube 14 which projects through the pinch seal 15 and contains a charge of percussive material, the bulbs being mounted on a platform 11 with their tubes extending through respective apertures 16 and resting in depressions 31 in arms 18 connected to the underside of the platform. The arms may include anvil portions 17 to support the sides of the tubes. The platform is provided with pairs of shoulders 20 between which the pinch seals 15 of the respective bulbs are fitted.
