A mould used in casting cement or other cementitious material or a component or accessory of such a mould is characterized in that it is made from a vulcanized natural or synthetic rubber composition comprising an oil that is incompatible with the rubber base and has no significant affinity with the cement such that the oil leaches to the surface of the resilient material to provide a lubricating film. Suitable oils are castor oil and a polysiloxane oil.
