1,248,189. Chewable penicillin tablets, BRISTOL-MYERS CO. 5 Sept., 1968 [5 Sept., 1967], No. 17313/71. Divided out of 1,246,489. Addition to 1,113,492. Heading A5B. A chewable tablet comprises 0.3 to 0.4 gms of mannitol, 0.001 to 0.02 gms of a solid polyethylene glycol and 0.0625 to 0.25 gms of a compound selected from:α-aminobenzyl penicillin, hetacillin, oxacillin, cloxacillin or dicloxacillin, there being more than 0.003 gms of polyethylene glycol present when the compound is α-aminobenzyl penicillin. Glycine and conventional additives, e.g. sweeteners and flavours may also be present.
