Abstract

1,244,468. Two-part coupling. HEGO ELECTRIC G.m.b.H. 1 June, 1970, No. 26270/70. Heading H2E. A plug-and-socket device mounted on a support rail 3 with either the plug 2 or socket 1 member secured to the supporting rail and the other of said members slidably mounted on the supporting rail so that the two members may be engaged or disengaged by movement of the slidably mounted member along said supporting rail. The plug and socket members may be secured to the supporting rail by means of resilient retaining feet (4, Fig. 2, not shown) and by screws 5, which pass through slots 6 in rail 3 and are provided with nuts 5. A locating rib (7, Fig. 2, not shown) helps to achieve stable mounting of the device on the support rail. The support rail 3 may be flat or may have inturned flanges. Cord clamping screws may be provided.
