A polarizing element 4 is arranged to reduce unwanted reflections from the adjustable member. Light rays reflected from member 2, e.g. from diaphragm value indicator 2<SP>1</SP>, pass through a cylindrical lens 3 attached to the front portion of an upper plate 8 and enter pentaprism 6 via a trapezoidal prism 5.
