[Also in Division C2] Synthetic polymers, e.g. vinyl chloride polymers and co-polymers (e.g. with vinyl acetate), or polyolefines, are stabilized by the addition thereto of the novel phosphate ester of the formula In an example a formulation is made up from polyvinyl chloride, di-alphanol phthalate, a barium/cadmium stabilizer, a zinc stabilizer, a phosphite chelating agent and the above specified novel phosphate ester and the composition is then formulated into polyvinyl chloride film by milling the composition for 15 minutes at 160‹ C., the resulting film being stabilized against heat and light.
