Abstract

1,241,684. Oil break switches. A. REYROLLE & CO. Ltd. 24 Dec., 1969 [4 Oct., 1968], No. 47306/68. Heading H1N. An arc control device of an oil-filled circuitbreaker has at least that part which is exposed to the arc, in use, formed as a moulding of an opaque thermoplastic synthetic resin comprising a polyphenylene or a polyetheneterephthalate. In Fig. 1 a turbulator has a pot 10 moulded of cupoxy resin, and a moulded vent block 14 secured in place within orifice 13 in the pot. The vent block is a separate moulding using a synthetic resin as specified above, e.g. of a composition as disclosed in Specification 1,125,620.
