Abstract

A steel mat comprises two layers of superimposed rods 2, 3 between and perpendicular to which are placed one layer of rods 1 which are held by welding together the superimposed rods 2, 3 in the spaces between them. Rods 2, 3 may be respectively straight and undulated, Fig. 1, or may both be undulated, Fig. 2 (not shown). The rods may be ribbed.
