[Also in Division G4] A vehicle lamp testing system comprises a control switch 18, e.g. a brake switch, which when closed allows the energization of relay coil 14 by the current flow to lamps 19, thus opening normally closed contact 14g. Relay coil 15 closes normally open contact 15a when energized such that warning device 11, e.g. light or buzzer, is operated if one or more of the lamps has failed. The warning device is also operated if one of the switches 16 or 17 are closed, e.g. by the operation of the handbrake or a drop in brake-fluid level.
