Abstract

1,240,736. Calenders. JACOBY-BENDER Inc. Aug.5, 1969 [May 20, 1969], No.39234/69. Heading G3T. A calendar for attachment to a watch bracelet comprises a resilient band 18 carrying monthly calendar indications and having coiled ends wound or spaced spindles 54, 56 carried by a support 30 within a housing 16 having a viewing window 130, the resilience of the band 18 being such that it winds itself on one of the spindles 54, 56 when unwound from the other by manually rotating a spindle 64 carrying a sprocket engaging holes in the band 18. The band 18 is such that, when stationary its inherent net force in the direction of movement is substantially zero irrespective of the extent 15 which it is moved from one spindle to the other.
