Abstract

1,238,057. Bathing caps. J. HARRIAGUE. 4 Oct., 1968 [10 Oct., 1967], No. 47233/68. Heading A3V. A method of attaching a sealing strip 3 to a bathing cap 1 consists in welding by rollers 5, 6 the piping 2, which is optionally decorative, to the cap edge, and the sealing strip to the edge and to the piping or to the piping, with the materials in unvulcanised form such that the sealing strip is marginally attached to said cap 1. A support 4 holds and feeds in the edge of the cap to the welding rollers 5, 6 as do the members (7), (8), (9), Fig. 2 (not shown) which guide the piping 2 and the sealing strip 3 on a continuous basis. In Figs 3, 4, 5 (not shown), three arrangements of the cap 1, piping 2 and sealing strip 3 can be seen. A second sealing strip (not shown) may be positioned inwardly and parallel with the first strip 3.
