Trans-chrysanthemoyl chloride and transpyrethroyl chloride are obtained by isomerizing the cis-isomers by heating them at 100‹ C. or higher, preferably at 120-160‹ C., optionally in the presence of an inert gas. Hydrolysis of the trans-chlorides yields the trans acids.
