Rotary machines.-In apparatus for printing- on and delivering paper from rolls, the webs from two rolls are printed by one printing-roller, and means may be provided for producing an original and copies from the rolls and for taking a record on a third web. As shown in Figs. 1 and 3, the apparatus is arranged for tearing off sales slips 25, 26 from rolls 10, 12 and taking a copy on a web 27 wound on a roll 4. The web 27 passes from a roll 6 round guide-rollers 7, 8, 9 and over a writing plate 33 and is wound on the roll 4 by rotating the shaft 5. The webs 25, 26 from the rolls 12, 10 are both printed by a type cylinder 18, inked by a felt &c. roller 19, and impression rollers 13, 11, and thence pass over rollers 14, 15, 16, 17 and 8 to the plate 33 on which they are in register and may be written upon. Carbon strips are attached by clips 23, 24 to shafts 21, 22 from which they extend between the webs 25, 26, 27 over the plate 33. The slips may be torn off against a bevelled bar 20.
