Abstract

1,233,087. Electric selective signalling. EICHNER ORGANISATION G.m.b.H. 15 July, 1968 [15 July, 1967], No. 33595/68. Heading G4H. Output units, e.g. a typewriter 19 and a tape perforator 20, are selectively fed with information signals from an input unit, e.g. a punched tape reader 11. The information signals are accompanied by control signals which select the output unit. Each output unit is preceded by a respective buffer 17, 18 which, under control of the control signals, receives the information signals from a store 12 fed by the input unit. The arrangement may include a coder 15 which, if enabled by the control signals, recodes the information signals from the store 12 and passes the recoded signals to the buffer of one or other of the output units. A second coder 16 may be provided to recede control signals and forward them to a selected buffer. Alternatively the inputs of the first and second coders may be connected to the output of the store, the coders both feeding the store (Fig. 2, not shown).
