The subject-matter is the same as that of the main Specification 1,232,341 but the claims are directed to the provision of interchangeable control units which make available to the operator a selected number of gear ratios smaller than the total number of which the transmission is capable of providing, the selected number being specially adapted to the terrain over which the vehicle is intended to operate.
