A trolley for supporting a domestic machine is mounted on four castors to render it mobile and operation of the pedal 20 rotates the shaft 18 and cams 17 attached thereto to cause the push rods 15 to move outwardly against the wedges 12 to engage the rubber pads 8 into contact with the floor to immobilize the trolley.
