Abstract
1,231,796. Window fasteners. A. FAULKNER. 3 July, 1968 [6 July, 1967], No. 31155/67. Heading E2A. Means for locking a cockspur fastener 60 comprises a pair of substantially L-shaped blocks 10, 14 each arranged to be mounted around the fastener with longitudinally aligned limbs lying between the fastener and the member to be fastened, other limbs of the blocks defining between them, a channel to receive part of the fastener, and means for fastening the blocks together when so arranged so as to form a stop restraining pivotal movement of the fastener. As shown, the L-shaped blocks 10, 14 are connected together by a dovetail section 54 which is retained by a screw 23 in one of the blocks. The section 54 may be replaced by a pin (16) fixed to the block 10, Fig. 3 (not shown), or may be threaded into a freely rotatable member in the block 14, Fig. 2 (not shown). The screw may be replaced by a spring loaded detent, Figs. 4-6 (not shown).
