Abstract

1,231,263. Needled fleeces. WTZ TECHNISCHE TEXTILIEN. 8 May, 1968, No. 21812/68. Heading D1R. A needled .fleece material is substantially non-porous and. consists of shrinkable polyvinyl chloride fibres alone or in admixture with other fibres, the material being of predetermined compactness and being deformable in any dimension i.e. the length, breadth and thickness can be altered by shaping or forming. The polyvinyl chloride fibres may be distributed uniformly or non-uniformly across the cross-section of the fleece material. When the material is subjected by thermal treatment, with or without pressure and without the addition of adjuvants, to a shaping or forming treatment, the shape or form obtained is retained. The shaping may be carried out at any time after the production of the fleece material.
