Refractory mouldings are produced from calcined dolomite and/or limestone by treating with CO a under pressure until at least 0À3% b.w. is absorbed and then dipping them into tar or pitch. Temperatures range from 100- 400‹ C. MgO can be included, and for a higher carbon content the dip tank can include graphite or carbon black.
