Abstract

Compositions comprise a fibre- or filmforming polyamide (A) in which is dispersed a polyether tetrolamine (B) Z 2 N-R-NZ 2 , where Z- is in which x=0-12,500, y=0-15,000, and x+y=4-15,000; R is a linear or branched divalent aliphatic radical which optionally contains hetero-atoms, e.g. -O-, -S-, or tertiary N, or a divalent cycloaliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon radical; and R<SP>1</SP> is H, or an alkyl, aryl, or aralkyl radical. (B) preferably has particle-size < 10 Ám. and M.W. 1000- 3,000,000, with N content between 3 and 0À001%. (B) can be introduced before or after (A) is formed; or it can be dispersed into (A) before or during shaping. (A) may be nylon 66. The compositions possess improved antistatic property.
