The disclosure is substantially the same as that of Specification 1,226,681, but the claims relate to a pressure-sensitive transfer medium comprising a layer of porous plastics material, in which the pores contain an ink composition in which the plastics material is insoluble and are distributed nbn-uniformly across the cross-section of the layer, so that the ink concentration is higher at one surface than at the other, and in which the layer contains woodflour as an organic liquid-absorbing filler.
