Abstract

122,585. Collier, G. A. July 8, 1918. Cam-actuated pumps.-Consists in pumps in which the cams of the rollers on which the cam acts are carried on the piston. Fig. 1 shows a pump in which a cam track 8 is formed in the piston and engages with rollers carried by arms 12 mounted on, and rotating with, the spindle. In a modification of this arrangement, both the piston and the arms carrying the rollers are rotated, in opposite directions, or in the same direction at different speeds. Fig. 2 shows a pump in which the piston carrying a cam 15 is rotated between pairs of rollers on fixed arms 17. In a modification, both the piston and the arms are rotated.
